DRBABO did not officiate the “ALL WE DO IS WIN Tournament” that was hosted by Ultimate Basketball Athletic Academy, which took place on August 11, 12 , and 13th 2017. Durham Region officials are certified and have to write a written test and take a practical floor test yearly or as required, this ensures each official is trained on the rule set of each game that they officiate. We are governed by OABO (Ontario Association of Basketball Officials) who has strong ties with the OBA (Ontario Basketball Association). DRBABO is a member of IAABO (International Association of Approved Basketball Officials).
We take the profession of officiating the Game of Basketball seriously and ensure players, coaches and fans have a safe and enjoyable experience.

1) Are they certified officials.
2) How well do they know the rules, what type of training have they had.
3) Who are they governed by, who can and will hold them accountable.
4) Are the officials insured.
